It’s not just that it’s a very tough job, holding on to old customers, it’s also twice as tough to pitch new clients, and get them to stay committed to your business.
Sometime in 2014, I started a wallpaper sales business, everyone loved that wallpapers look nice, some of them admired it from afar and even took great pictures of completed jobs, they would promise to come for negotiations so they can also grab some for themselves, but time and time again, they will fail to show up.
After a while, I became demoralized, I no longer had that anticipation to show off what great products I had it seemed like no one really cared, until I finally realized, humans can be easily distracted and the only way they will stay true and committed to you is if you can give them money, or pay them back in some form of value.
Similarly, the internet is almost the same. Everyday, many of us go over the internet for information, and we get nothing back. Think about all the times you went window shopping on Ebay and amazon, and never really bought anything. Sometimes it’s not really about being broke, it could just be that you didn’t feel like you’d be getting back sufficient value.
